Great Wall’s renewed push to enter the Australian ute market has moved a step closer, with the first shipment of it’s Steed utes arriving in Australia.
“We will launch with a three-model line-up boasting a rugged new design, high levels of safety, one-tonne payload and very attractive price points for Australian customers,” revealed Great Wall’s Australian chief Parker Shi.
“They will all come with a long list of creature comforts, including cruise control, Bluetooth, dual-zone climate control air-conditioning and heated front seats.”
The three model dual-cab line-up includes 4×4 diesel, 4×2 diesel and 4×2 petrol, with ESP and six airbags standard on all three models.
Great Wall has previously sold more than 45,000 vehicles in Australia with the help of private importer Ateco Automotive. The recent shipment of Steed utes is the first product that will be sold directly by Great Wall in Australia.
Great Wall Motors is confident that it will achieve Australia wide dealer coverage, with 50 dealers having signed on since it took over from Ateco on July 1.
The new Great Wall Steed dual cab utility will go on sale in September. Pricing will be announced at launch.
