The freshly minted 2017 Holden Colorado will make its public debut at ANZ stadium tonight for the final game of the 2016 State of Origin series.
Style wise, the 2017 Colorado gets a new front bumper design, the latest version of the Chevrolet family grille and some new headlights. On the inside there is a new dash design, and better quality materials have been used throughout the interior to give it a lift.
Holden is upping the ante with a strong tech offering that includes – standard across the range – 7” and 8” colour touchscreen MyLink infotainment systems with Bluetooth streaming, Apple CarPlay or Android Auto and Digital (DAB+) radio and a reversing camera.
Higher spec Colorados will be available with embedded satellite navigation and voice recognition, as well as front park assist (sensors), forward collision alert and lane departure warning.
The changes are more than cosmetic, with Holden claiming the Colorado now offers car-like, ride, handling and refinement thanks to the work done by Holden engineers.
“Not only does it come with fresh new styling, it also offers car-like refinement, ride and handling as well as vehicle technologies unique to this segment including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity,” Peter Keley, Holden’s Executive Director – Sales said.
The 2017 Colorado ushers in a wide range of genuine accessories, the largest range of accessories ever produced by Holden for the one vehicle.
“In the coming months, the 2017 Colorado will deliver a plethora of all-new accessories to its range including a safari bar, fender flares, LED driving lights, 18-inch wheels and all-terrain tyres, so we’re confident there’s something for everybody, ” Holden Engineering Manager – Accessories, Joseph Basile said.
Other accessories that will be available include bull bars and nudge bars, bash plates, extended rail sports bars, a steel rear step, tubular steel side steps, wheel-arch flares and a snorkel.
Included in the new range of accessories will be some inspired by the very popular Colorado Xtreme show truck that debuted back in March.
“When we revealed the Colorado Xtreme show truck back in March, we received overwhelmingly positive feedback, and that has driven us to make sure we included as many of the concept accessories as we could, into the final Colorado program,” Mr Basile said.
The 2017 Colorado will be available at Holden dealers nationwide from 01 September 2016.
