Holden has announced a recall affecting its 2016 Colorado 7, the seven seat version of its Colorado SUV.
The issue involves the recliner mechanism fitted to the 60 per cent side (includes the left and centre seats) of the 2nd row seat, which may not lock correctly when the seat is in the upright position.
According to Holden, “In the event the recliner mechanisms do not lock correctly, the seat back may move unintentionally in certain crash events. This may pose a risk of increased injury for a vehicle occupant.”
Vehicles affected are all MY16 RG Colorado 7 that fall within the following ranges:
Affected VIN Range: MMU156MK0GH621311 to MMU156FK0GH651822
Affected Production Dates: 10 OCT 2015 to 01 JUN 2016
If you own a Colorado 7 that falls within the affected VIN or build date range, then you will be contacted by GM Holden and notified of the the “required action”.
