Owner’s Thoughts

I purchased the vehicle in 2013, at the time it was a great buy. Firstly, what I liked about the 2013 D40 ST model was that Nissan put the 140kw 450nm STX motor in the ST model. Obviously, because the np300 were on their way in and they wanted to sell off the old models quickly. Secondly, it was comfortable, looked good and the price was good.

The vehicle was bought for touring, camping and 4x4ing. It’s a great tow vehicle and not bad off-road. I have a lift, however it would go even better off-road with a higher lift. I’ve been to Morton island, Fraser Island and most of the national parks along the East coast.

Since owning it, I’ve had the heater core, EGR sensor and torque converter all replaced under warranty, thank god. Would I buy it again? I’m undecided. Most vehicles have their inherent problems, luckily I have a good service centre where I am. It’s fully decked out. Over all 7 out of 10.
