Owner’s Thoughts

The Hilux is a fantastic car for anyone who loves to get out into the bush and do some exploring. I believe that the car is more suited to the average day tradie who needs the space to cart tools, material ect. yet also the comforts to act as a family car.

The most predominant area where the car fails is on the hardcore trails. As a stock car, it really struggles amongst the 80 series and Patrols out there. I’m sure by spending a few dollars it would easily keep up but as it is stock, its got no chance.

On the road, the car is AMAZING. So very quiet yet so much power. I couldn’t ask for anything more in regards on the on-road performance. There have been few occasions where I’ve had to stomp on the brakes and swerve and the Hilux handled it great.

In terms of reliability it is awesome. Matches the reliability of the N60 hilux which I do also own. Several mates of mine who own Navaras and Tritons are constantly having problems. The comparison is like chalk and cheese. Overall I would give the car a 8.5 / 10. I would 100% recommended the purchase of this car for anyone in the market.
