2018 Nissan Patrol Pricing And Specs

Nissan has announced the imminent arrival of its updated 2018 Patrol and the biggest news, is that it will be sporting a redesigned front end. Unfortunately, there were no pictures (that’s the current version above) to go with the announcement, you’ll have to wait for those to be released in the near future.

Nissan is claiming the redesigned nose is “both modern and aggressive” thanks to a bumper that includes an updated grille with horizontal metallic bars, and new fog lamp housings. The new face is enhanced by a new look, 18 inch alloy wheel design.

Inside, the Patrol range gets an updated infotainment system with a multi-touch panel. There are now two USB charging points at the rear of the centre console, and the number of front and rear sensors have been doubled.

The range-topping Patrol Ti-L now comes with larger 8-inch screens built into the back of the front seat head rests.

Other than that, it’s business as usual for the big Patrol, as it continues to power on with its 5.6 litre 298kW/560Nm V8 petrol engine and 7-speed automatic transmission with manual mode.  Nissan’s All-Mode 4WD shift switch (Auto, 4-high and 4-low capabilities) and the Hydraulic Body Motion Control (HBMC) suspension system, are there for those forays into the wilderness.

Standard equipment across the 2018 Patrol range includes, Satellite Navigation with 3D mapping and an 8-inch integrated colour display with touch screen, a Bluetooth hands free phone system with steering wheel controls, push button start, climate control and a full size alloy spare wheel.

There’s also driver and passenger front and side-impact SRS airbags, and curtain airbags that extend to all three rows, while the Patrol Ti-L gets a range of active safety technologies including; Blind Spot Warning and Intervention (BSW & BSI), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Distance Control Assist (DCA) and Lane Departure Warning and Prevention (LDW & LDP).

The Ti-L also features Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC), a 13 speaker BOSE audio system, Xenon headlights, a power operated tailgate and heated and cooled front seats.

The 2018 Patrol range is available in seven exterior colours, with pricing starting at $71,990 plus on-roads.
